About..

Hi !!

I am Smitha – the face behind this blog.Welcome to my Kitchen!!

Basically I am an Engineer by profession (or should I say was), worked in the corporate world for few years. But now fully enjoying my role as wife, mom of 2 lovely kids, freelancer and this food blog. Life has been sweet.

Smitha means “Smile” and thus the name of the blog “Cook with Smile” – All credits to my hubby dear for suggesting the name.

My mom is a good cook. I remember watching with her many cookery shows and tasting her new recipes. I was always fond of eating tasty food and may be this fondness, after marriage made me enjoy cooking.

This blog is my journal, my space to pen down some food related memories. I have decided to explore vast and varied veg cuisines of India and beyond. And through this blog, I present you some very basic, simple, everyday recipes that I have grown up eating, to some very exotic-never heard of kind of recipe. In this journey, let us learn and grow as cook…Do try out the recipes n yes these recipes are full proof ones. I try in my kitchen atleast 3-5 times till get perfection n later post here.

Homemade food, created with love is the best way for a healthy, lifestyle.

“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients. ”

-Julia Child .

Isn’t it right ? Happy Cooking ..!!

I’d like to thank you for the efforts you have put in writing this blog. I really hope to check out the same high-grade content by you in the future as well. In truth, your creative writing ability has encouraged me to get my own personal blog now and it is a perfect site for anyone who wants to understand this topic. You have put a tremendous effort in writing a fresh spin on a topic that has been written about for a long time. In short, great stuff, just wonderful. I would appreciate and would feel honored if you could pen down a few recipes for my blog for publication. Thanks and God Bless!

Good receipe smitha.. I have a doubt can you clarify. In all the cakes that I try, the center is rising while inside the oven, but when I open the door and removeout slowly goes inside and becomes flat. What could be the problem. Thanks in advance

baking is very easy but tricky . Measurements, mixing ,temperature, duration etc each plays a crucial role in final product . your cake sinking in the middle could be coz Over beating the batter and incorporating too much air – the air can then cause a collapse. Temperature of the oven is too high causing the cake to rise too rapidly. or baking soda wrong proportion
