In many Indian households the mixer grinder is one of the most important kitchen appliances that is extensively used for day to day cooking preparations… be it for
- Wet grinding to make crispy Dosas, soft idlis, delicious chutney …
- Blending for making fruit juices, milk shakes, lassis…
- Dry grinding for making dry masala powders out of the spices which are used for making sambars, gravies…
- & even used for churning butter out of curd.
As I talk about the importance of the mixer grinder in Indian kitchens, it is a daunting task to select the optimum mixer grinder that suits your budget, the kitchen space, as well as your day to day kitchen requirements from the plenty of brands available in the market. Today in this article I am going to review one such innovative starting range mixer grinder from the renowned TTK Prestige which not only meets your daily cooking needs but also optimizes the space it takes to store.
As you all are aware that TTK Prestige is a well-known brand in India and leader in innovation in kitchen appliances ever since it’s inception in 1928 with popular products like pressure cookers, non-stick ware, electrical smart kitchen appliances, chimneys & hob tops, and clean home products. The RACER mixer grinder is one of their recent innovations in the smart kitchen appliance segment addressing the small family needs with a key feature of ultra compact design basically with one all purpose jar and three lids.
If you ask me the main features that I observed using the product, here it is:
1) Ultra compact design.. 3 lids for 1 jar !!!
The Prestige RACER mixer grinder comes with an ultra compact design all-purpose jar with 3 specially designed air tight lids. The interesting fact about these 3 lids for 1 jar is that each lid is used to address different purpose of wet and dry grinding while keeping the food intact while grinding. The 3 lids include:
- Dome shaped Lid: This lid fits over the jar and utilizes the full jar space as needed for wet grinding and for blending to make shakes, lassis…
i made some apple beetroot juice using this .. and the result was too good.
- Medium Lid: This lid goes inside the jar about 1/3rd the way down, making the jar size perfect for dry grinding.
I like to make coriander / dhania powder little coarse . Many mixers fail to give this uniform coarseness.. I was pleased with Prestige racer grinder …
- Smallest Lid: This lid goes inside the jar about 2/3rd the way down, making the jar space just enough for chutney grinding.
This is the jar i used for making today’s recipe .. Pudina Thambli .. we will see that later …
This mixer grinder won’t occupy an entire storage cabinet. The revoutionary jar design lets you save essential storage space in your kitchen.
2) Efficient grinding:
The RACER comes with specially designed Octopus stainless steel blades driven by a powerful 550W motor to address all the basic needs of wet and dry grinding. Be it for making quick Dosa recipes, or making dry sambar masalas,… the mixer grinder is ready for the task and is also efficient in terms of power consumption.
3) Sturdy and ergonomic design:
The mixer grinder comes with a thoughtfully designed body along with break resistant jar base. The jar and the blades are of heavy duty stainless steel. The jar comes with ergonomically designed handles for easy handling. The appliance comes with an Anti-Slip Vaccum Feet to avoid any movement during operation.
4) Warranty and after sales support:
As with all the Prestige products, RACER comes with a product warranty of 2 years. And the pricing is also very competitive when compared to the similar models available in market. It also comes with EMI options.
The product is supported with an assured After Sales Service and Customer Support with authorized service centers throughout India to ensure that the promised value is delivered to the customers.
Overall to sum up, I liked the ultra compact design of Prestige RACER catering to the basic needs of small family kitchen needs.. !!! For more details please check here
